Philosoph, Écrivain, Saunterer
ἀνδράποδον, τί πενθεῖς; ἤνοικται ἡ θύρα.

I’m a Pacific-Northwest-based philosopher specializing in first-person approaches in the science of conciousness and free will. I recently accepted a professorship at Nightingale College, where I teach applied ethics. Besides teaching, I devote my time to the craft of writing and the art of living well. I’m not particularly gifted at either. I’m currently working on what I can only properly call my great white whale, On the Arctic Glass (my first novel), which I’ve chased now for over ten years but which constantly evades me with deft and subtle movement. To temper my monomania, I work on shorter pieces, which invariably end up in my blog, Versuche (above). When I’m not writing, I’m walking.
